The contestant are the only thing that changes in the formula of the show, they bring their own stories and backstory that the audience attach to, this is what keeps the audience coming back each episode.

The reason the audience keeps coming back is because the contestants change and bring in a new type of comedy that draws its audience in. the drama in this type of show is the unpredictability of what will happen next.
Being aimed at adult youth the sound style is mainstream music and the color scheme is very dark and grudge. Quite rebellious that the audience can accept easier than an older audience who would say it is too dark.
